In 1997, Scott and Shannon Guggenheim ended 10 successful and rewarding years in the non-profit world to produce the San Francisco and San Jose commercial runs of the hit musical, "Schoolhouse Rock Live!" The critically acclaimed production yielded numerous collaborations between Guggenheim Entertainment and local and national partners including ABC Television, Radio Disney and the Hahn Corporation (whose properties were eventually purchased by Westfield and programming continued under that relationship). During the run, Guggenheim Entertainment honed its skills as a public relations and marketing firm and went on to create a comprehensive marketing and audience development campaign for retail centers and corporations, used today throughout the Western United States.
Utilizing over 20 years experience in the non-profit arts world and commercial theatre and marketing arenas, Guggenheim Entertainment has emerged as an established and respected organization, creating innovative and entertaining program opportunities for a variety of clients. Current projects include the design, development and presentation of original holiday programming, kids club programming, and special events for retail centers throughout the western United States; serving as entertainment coordinators and booking agents for private and corporate functions; producing, directing, and designing regional theatre; developing, administering, and implementing educational outreach in the visual and creative arts; and creating marketing collateral and publications, web site design, and press representation for retail, corporate and non-profit clients, comprehensive design, marketing and communications services for retail centers in redevelopment including marketing outreach efforts and advertising programs including unique “earning 4 learning” programs, retail incubator programs, art contests and mural projects, and customer service staff training.
When not creating programs for clients, Guggenheim Entertainment produces live regional theatre like the San Francisco and San Jose runs of the hit musical, “Schoolhouse Rock Live!” and the National Tour of “The MeshugaNutcracker!”, penned by Scott and Shannon Guggenheim. Revivals of both productions are planned in the near future in California and New York respectively. Visit www.guggenheimentertainment.com for more information. “Schoolhouse Rock Live!” will open THE RETRO DOME in San Jose, CA this fall. The company is also in partnership with JLTV, the new Jewish Television Network, to re-imagine many of its live stage shows as televised events.
